Ancient Theatre of Sikyona and Mantineia

Leaving the center of Athens, our first stop is the Ancient Theatre of Sicyon located in western Corinth. It is considered as one of the largest theaters of ancient Greece and appreciated as remarkable architectural monument. Thereafter, we will continue our journey to the Ancient Mantinea, a city with deep history. The archaeological site is extensive and includes the ancient theater of Mantinea, the parliament, parts of the ancient Agora, Roman baths and a temple dedicated to Artemis Mesopolitida. Next "culture station" is the Mycenaean cemetery 5 km. away from Palaiokastro with over 100 vaulted tombs and the ancient necromancy mentioned by Homer.
Following the map we will move to the Ancient Theater of Megalopolis in Arcadia, funded by UNESCO to highlight the importance of the monument after the appropriate restoration work. Our final stop of the journey is a temple well hidden in a true idyllic Arcadia, the Temple of Hercules just outside the city of Nemea. So here is the end of this particular excursion giving you precious moments of knowledge and beautiful memories.
